The Information that MMB Collects
MMB collects two types of information from Users: personal information and marketing information. When you participate in certain activities on MMB Online, such as online consumer marketing surveys, you may provide to MMB information that can be used to identify or contact you, including, but not limited to, your name, email address, postal mailing address, home/mobile telephone number, or other personal information that is not publicly available (“Personal Information”). As a part of such marketing surveys, you will also provide MMB with responses to consumer marketing surveys that cannot be used to identify you individually, such as your age range, gender, income level, general geographic location, or your impression of a certain brand or marketing strategy (“Marketing Information”).
The Way MMB Uses the Information It Collects
MMB uses Marketing Information to provide MMB’s clients with helpful market research regarding their brands. This information is provided only to MMB clients and only on a collective basis so that it cannot be used to identify you.
MMB keeps your Personal Information strictly confidential. MMB uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information. MMB will use your email address and mailing address, without further consent, for internal administrative purposes, such as contacting you regarding any MMB Online surveys or activities in which you are presently participating or in which you may be interested in participating. We may also use financial information provided by Users to compensate Users for participation in certain marketing surveys.
When MMB Discloses Information
MMB may disclose some Personal Information, such as a User’s email address, to certain third-party contractors who provide MMB with website hosting and/or maintenance and security services, who offer certain functionality, who help improve MMB Online, or who create new site features. Such disclosure of Personal Information is and will be made only as necessary for MMB to maintain and further develop MMB Online. MMB requires that these third-party contractors process Personal Information in compliance with this Privacy Notice. MMB authorizes only a limited use of such disclosed Personal Information and requires these third-party contractors to use appropriate confidentiality measures.
MMB may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law or if MMB believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with any federal, state, or local law or to respond to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena, or warrant. MMB may make such disclosures, in some cases, without notifying the affected Users.
MMB also reserves the right to disclose Personal Information if MMB believes, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to take precautions against liability; to protect MMB from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful acts; to investigate and defend MMB against any third-party claims or allegations; to assist government agencies in their enforcement activities; to protect the security or integrity of MMB Online; or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Users or other persons.
MMB does not, and will not, sell your Personal Information. Except for the limited circumstances described above, MMB does not, and will not, share your Personal Information with any third party without your express prior written consent.
You may, of course, decline to share Personal Information with MMB, in which case you will not be able to participate in many MMB Online surveys and other interactive activities.
MMB tracks User traffic patterns throughout MMB Online. However, MMB does not correlate this information with Personal Information. MMB does break down overall usage statistics according to a User’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every User’s browser).
